Today's Haul

Today's Haul

Postby Sixpack on Sat Mar 13, 2010 1:09 pm

Picked up this Craigslist find today. Guy listed it yesterday at 4pm. I emailed about 4:50pm. He called me back in like 10 minutes. When I went to pick it up he told me I was the 3rd emailer but he chose to give it to me because I didn't just email and say "I'll take it". In the email I told him I was just getting started in homebrewing and could really use this equipment. He is moving and really wanted to give the stuff to someone that had a good use in mind.

tons of stuff here:
3 carbouys
hydrometer
thermometer
2 flasks
5 boxes of 22 oz. bottles
Johnson temp controller
Wort Chiller
Bottle caps
Candi sugar
Whirlfloc tablets
DME
Air locks
Brushes
Syphon
Blow off tube
Burner, old cruddy one
Full Propane tank
2 nice large Grolsh bottles
And some other misc stuff.

All for the whopping price of $100.

i need to find a deal like that. i need a wort chiller, a couple carboys, and a spare bucket to use for sanatizing.
I saw a post on craigslist similar to this but i was about 12 hours too late. they seem to go so fast.

Kent,
If you are still willing to sell the old greasy Propane burner and stand,
Bring it to the meeting and I'll have a nice shiney 10 dollar bill for you.

Kent,
If your not going to the meeting,
Let me know if you be home before the meeting 6:15
or after the meeting 9:30 to 10:00 pm
I could come over and pick it up at one of those times.
Or if you plan to be busy  nudge, nudge, wink, wink
It can wait til another time.

Shouldn't take him more than 5 minutes to celebrate. Less if he has a beer or two.

You shut up gasious one. This is a conversation between me and the Jack of All Cheepskates. You could only hope to have 1/2 my stamina when you reach my age.

Kramer - 6 or 6:15 should be fine for us to make this deal go down. Let's plan on that. I'll still be home then.
