Ty Harrison appointed himself secretary without objection.
Item #2
Eric Wentling informs JAB members that he has registered the club on beertown.org.
ACTION – members are encouraged to check out the listing next week.
Item #3
JAB members discuss need for a logo – should contain the name Jack of All Brews, additional thoughts were to use a jester or joker type character. The logo should contain thematic elements of home brewing materials and ingredients.
ACTION - Jim Trowbridge volunteered to take the logo idea to a graphic designer he knows.

JAB members discuss need for a motto – “me so hoppy” seems to be the popular choice with Eric Wentling expressing his dislike.
ACTION – should discuss further motto ideas at next meeting and consider voting on proposals.
Item #5
JAB members discuss ways to further club standing and recognition. All members felt that it would be worthwhile for one of its members to go through the Beer Judge Certificate Program (BJCP). All members have agreed to brew for upcoming sanctioned home brew competitions.
ACTION – one or more members should pursue BJCP certification.
ACTION – in order to participate in upcoming home brew competition members should prepare to brew a Scotch Ale for the March/April 2007 deadline and/or Extract brew for the May 2007 deadline.

JAB members decide where to hold there next meeting.
ACTION - the next meeting will be informally held on Saturday, November 18 at Midwest Supplies brew store and at Granite City Brewery.
ACTION – members will need to decide on a time for the November 18th meeting, although an afternoon time was agreed upon.
ACTION – beg your wives to go.

JAB members decide that there will be no meeting in December.
Item #8
Four of JAB’s five members have brewed their assigned oatmeal stout. The January meeting will include a blind taste test.

November 4th is “teach a friend to home brew”.
ACTION – duh, teach a friend to home brew.

Members discuss their desire to have a website.
ACTION – JD will explore his connections to see if there is web space available.
