Summary of 12/12/08 JAB Meeting @ Eric's house

Attendees:

1.      Club T-Shirts

a.      Eric brought up idea of getting club t-shirts. Seems to be interest in getting some in the future.

b.      Talked about design/style – consensus seems to be plain white t’s with small chest logo in front and large logo in back.

c.       Will look at new vendor, since the other shirt vendor was somewhat problematic.

2.      Presentations

a.      Dave and Eric will put on a presentation for February meeting about how to enter contests and ship entries. No presentation for January meeting due to awards and elections.

3.      Competitions

a.      Upper Mississippi Mashout – January

b.      Great Northern Brew Ha-Ha – February

c.       Club Only Competitions:

·        January – Belgians

·        March/April – beers over 1.080

4.      Officer positions

a.      Club will vote on 2009 officers at January meeting. If you are interested in becoming an officer or have questions on what the duties are, contact any of the officers. Current officers are:

·        Treasurer: Jim Trowbridge

·        Secretary: Dave Manley

5.      Summit Tour

a.      Tour was held Sunday, December 14.

b.      Many thanks to Chris for setting this up and to Mike the brewer at Summit for giving us the tour. (And for giving us free reign of the tap room while he finished up his work!)

c.       Great time – see website for pics.

d.      After tour, group headed to Muddy Pig for a beer and food.
