b.      As of now, will go with Dave’s contact.

c.       Minimum order is 25 shirts. Will have extras for future members.

d.      Looking at 4 styles of shirts, can mix/match.

e.      Embroidered name on front of shirt is optional.

f.        See separate file with pricing details and pictures of the shirts.

4.      Carver County Fair:

a.      After deliberation, group has decided to not participate at the fair this year.

b.      However, Brett had a good idea of setting up a brewing and/or beer appreciation class through Waconia Community Ed. Group felt this would be a good idea to pursue. See topic on forum.

5.      Upcoming Events:

a.      June 13 meeting: Dave to give presentation on Tips For Improving Extract Brewing. Also the BYO Blonde Ale taste off.

b.      July – Group brew, everyone brings ingredients, try to formulate a recipe base on what people have brought, and make it. Details to be finalized at June meeting.

c.       August – State Fair Competition, August 8 entry deadline.

d.      Anyone interested in helping to organize or steward at the Sate Fair? Great experience, fun time, counts as experience points towards being BJCP certified.

e.      This was not mentioned at meeting, but the topic for the November meeting will be oak/wood aged beers, so if you want to make one, you can start on those now to have plenty of aging time.

6.      Technical Topic: All Grain/Whirlfoc demo (Chris/Bill)

a.      Chris gave demonstration on his all grain set up. He brewed a 10-gallon batch of a Rauchbier. Also showed the benefits of using wort clarifiers, specifically Whirlfloc.

b.      Bill brought his equipment over to Chris’ house and made an IPA. It was interesting and challenging dealing with the wind, falling tree leaves, dust, boilovers, etc. Brewing outside of one’s normal element is always challenging, but Bill did a good job and I think will end up with a good IPA out of it.

c.       Next month’s topic: Tips for Improving Extract Brewing presentation by Dave.
