Summary of 8/07/09 JAB Meeting
Location: Ty's House
Attendees:
Note: J.D. filled in for Dave taking minutes so they aren't as concise...
1. MN State Fair and RenFest comps coming up...Get your beers in! Check forum for links on registering and dropping off.
2. Eric passed around sample good and bad score sheets to exemplify variations in judging.
3. Ty gave a good presentation on dry hopping.
4. Andy B did 6 samples of dry hopping with various hops (awesome example of experimentation!) They were...
* Simcoe
* Amarillo
* Cascade
* Ahtanum
* Centennial
* Warrior
It was interesting to see the variations in aroma as well as flavor and bitterness (even though dry-hopping is generally practiced to add aroma).
