Favorite beer styles to drink:  Sours and Scottish Ales

Favorite beers to brew       :  Coffee stout, Imperial stout

Beers Brewed                 :  A bit of everything, and love to experiment with 
                                unusual adjuncts.

Special Techniques           :  I have been doing a lot of split batches with different
                                yeasts, additional ingredients and wood aging.  I have
                                also been doing one sour ale a year.

Brewing set-up               :  Morebeer 1550 system, yeast starters with stirplate from 
                                the 1950's, wort aeration, plate chiller, kegging and
                                bottling.  I also have a recently finished basement bar with
                                built-in two tap kegerator, wine cooler and beer fridge.

Special interests            :  Sour beers and meads.  Coffee roasting.  Hop growing.
                                Getting involved with beer judging via the BJCP and local
                                competitions.

Favorite local beer stuff    :  Town Hall Brewery, anything Surly, The Happy Gnome beer
                                dinners, Autumn Brew Review, Upper Mississippi Mash Out.
