Profile of Michael Behrendt

Personal Information  : Started in 1994.  After years of talking about
                        making beer, my family bought me the basic 
                        equipment as a gift and said ‘go do it’.

Brewing set-up        : After my 100th extract/specialty grain batch,
                        I’m switching to all-grain.

Favorite beer styles  : Almost everything except some Belgian styles.
                        Sorry, don’t like sour beer!

Special Techniques    : Randy Mosher’s method for bourbon barrel
                        aging using charred white oak soaked in
                        bourbon.

Special interests     : Getting BJCP to revise their exam methodology.
                        I’m an Apprentice.  Passed the tasting part
                        but not the written part and don’t intend to
                        retake it until it’s changed.
